Post Help with Bunker Shots

Can anyone give me some tips to help me with MGS bunker shots? I have watched Kiran's bunker video a number of times, but it doesn't go into that much detail. I am hitting about 50% of my shots okay, but leaving most of the rest in the bunker. By the way, I have never been a very good bunker play with MGS or any other swing method.

Kim,

1st learn how to spank the sand:

Make a line in the bunker, then behind that line, make another parallel to it about the length of a credit card. The forward line is your ball position, the line behind is your entry point for the club. Practice hittin the back line, and taking sand through to the forward line. Start with 1/2 backswings, BUT MAKE SURE you follow through to a high complete finish - this is the most important thing. ACCELERATE through the shot.

Once you are taking sand the proper way, just put balls down on the front line, and then make your back line and do the same thing, the ball will come out and fly about the same distance everytime. For shorter carry, take more sand ( further back from ball) and for longer carry take less sand - closer to the ball.

There are some other tnings too, but learning how to hit the sand first is basic, and you should with a little experimenting find the entry point that works best for your bunkers. I will try and make a video this weekend on this.
